Paul believes we can create a healthy and nourishing environment for the people of NC-11 by:
- Delivering the full federal recovery funding Western North Carolina was promised after Hurricane Helene, and ensuring our counties are reimbursed for every dollar they spent helping their communities rebuild
- Treating healthcare as a human right, not a privilege, by working to ensure all Americans have healthcare regardless of employment or income
- Raising the federal minimum wage based on each state’s cost of living, incentivizing the development of affordable and climate resilient housing and infrastructure, and banning corporate price gouging
- Ending ICE’s reign of terror and streamlining the path to citizenship to make it simple, efficient, and humane
- Reinstating funding that the VA lost last year so our veterans and their families receive quality and timely care and our VA employees are not overworked and underpaid
- Protecting Western North Carolina’s public lands
- Expanding access to reproductive healthcare
- Strengthening, not dismantling, the Department of Education so that all children have access to a sound, basic education
- Restoring federal research funding so American scientific excellence remains the world standard
- Creating an innovation friendly WNC to bring high paying jobs home
- Holding all three branches of government accountable through strong oversight and transparency, always asking how whether their actions are serving the American people
