atriots love their country even if they loathe their government’s actions.  I am running for Congress because I love our country too much to abandon it to the political insiders, powerbrokers, and special interests that have seized it.

The will of the people has taken a back seat to these special interests.  We need to take our country back before any more damage is done.  The time to act is now.

Thankfully, Americans are awake now and ready to reclaim their stake in this Republic. Patriots realize that America is in distress and our freedoms are at risk.

Today, federal spending as a percentage of our economy is at its highest level since World War II.  Our national debt is at a record high; more than $12 trillion and rising, even as you read these words. What is worse are the earmarks that waste taxpayer dollars for nothing but pure political expediency.  People are angry, and they should be.

Although our country was built on a heritage of service and sacrifice, we seem to have lost our way.  That is why I'm running for Congress; setting aside my business to take on the political establishment with the convictions of my faith and strength of my values.

For 20 years I have been in the private sector investing my time, energy and resources to build a business.  I’ve personally seen how the burdens of big government impede the success of young entrepreneurs.  I find it troubling to realize the growth sectors in this economy (by and large) are financed by taxpayers.  I have to ask, does that type of socialized growth make sense for America?

Congress should work to revive our economy and create jobs by returning to the ideals that built the most prosperous nation in history.  The ideals of freedom, individual liberty, competition and hard work are what make America great.  We must restore the vitality of its private sector, from manufacturing and technology, to retail and beyond.

I am asking you to join me in this fight.  The U.S. Constitution is worth defending. The role of government — which it defines — is to protect its citizens at home and abroad. As a Christian, I will always protect life and will stand for what is right and honorable.

We must stand firm against special interests, professional politicians and Washington, D.C., insiders.
As Thomas Jefferson said, “All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.”
